Hello my good people! As you all know, I’m a Gwynnie Bee girl through and through! I love their process and structure and will probably never leave them. However, I can’t put all my eggs in one basket. I gotta diversify! This is why I have tried Dia & Co previously and have now looked into Stitch Fix!

From what I recall, Stitch Fix was a clothing subscription service that only had straight sizes when they first started out. I remember hearing the big news about them offering plus sizes and I was intrigued. I wondered, could a straight size subscription box company do plus size right? I didn’t immediately act on my curiosity, but I kept my eyes and ears open. My good friend (who wears straight sizes) LOVES Stitch Fix and has been sharing stories of all the cute clothes she has gotten. I have two other friends (who wear plus size clothes)  that recently tried Stitch Fix and they didn’t have such good experiences. It was then that I decided that I would give things a try.

Check out my unboxing video below:

Let me just say that I was SOOOO impressed with my first box! I liked everything they sent me. I didn’t keep everything because I had been buying so many clothes. I just couldn’t spend much more on clothes. BUT, I would have bought everything (except the jeans, they were TOO small).

Here are the outfits that I put together with the awesome things I received in the box:

I. The awesome blue top

This is the FIRST THING I pulled out of the box and I was so happy about it! Look at it paired with my black pencil skirt! The lace detail on the front and the stretchy knit back made this top a keeper in my book.

II. Navy Blue Wrap Sweater

I absolutely LOVED this wrap sweater. If you watch the video, you will see how much I loved it, LOL! I ended up sending it back, only because I had spent so much on clothes already AND this sweater (to me) is a common item that I could pick up from anywhere. But boy oh boy did I love it!

III. Pretty Pencil Skirt

I was initially concerned about this pencil skirt! It had an interesting texture to it. It felt like a quilt, which was a bit … interesting to say the least. The colors and the pattern were so pretty to me! I was worried about the bright colors at first but then I remembered who I am and got over it. LOL! Since when do bright colors worry me? I was sad because my cobalt blue jacket was in the cleaners, so I had to throw on a basic black sweater for the photos.

What do you think of my Stitch Fix box? Which item do you like the most? Let me know in the comment box.

  • I’m so happy you had a good experience with your first box!!! In terms of pricing, you can adjust the range on items and that’s something I did. I’m also glad there’s a quick and easy exchange for a different size. We should do a box opening together 😊!!!
