“What Am I Wearing Wednesday” – My 1st Rachel Rachel Roy Piece!

Hi everyone! For this week’s installation of “What Am I Wearing Wednesday”, I’m rocking a sweater skirt! This is the second time I’m rocking a sweater anything this summer. A few weeks ago I had on a sweater dress! It’s hot as heck out here in LA, but when I got this skirt from Gwynnie Bee, I knew I had to wear it. I didn’t care about the temperature at all.

One of the main reasons I am so excited is because this is my first time wearing something from the Rachel Rachel Roy line. I’ve seen all the cute clothes on their IG page and wanted to try something out. Gwynnie always comes through for a sista!

This skirt is actually part of a set. There is a cropped sleeveless sweater that goes with the skirt. I didn’t get the top, but hopefully I will soon so that I can have the complete outfit, but honestly, as you can see in the photos, me and sweater skirt are just fine without the top.

As always, I have to show y’all at least two ways to wear this skirt. Here goes!

This is what I’m wearing to work today. I considered putting it with a white button down shirt, but ended up with a black t-shirt from H&M. Sometimes basic is best, especially with a statement skirt such as this one. I paired it with my shiny red pumps.

Now a few years ago I would have been trying to throw a sweater or blazer over this to hide my hips and backside. Not today! For one, it’s too hot for all that and also, I look fine AS IS!

Well, I went all the way out and glammed this skirt up! I paired it with my super cute surplice bodysuit from BooHoo+ (similar one here), all kinds of jewelry, and my super high black heels. I pulled my hair up and put on (gasp) earrings! As I was styling this look I got excited because I have an event to attend next week and I will be wearing this for sure!

Look #2.5

I remembered at the last second that I have a bomb white blazer from Eloquii, so I pulled it out of my closet and BOOM!

What y’all think about this sweater skirt and sweater skirts in general? Are they a “yay” or a “nay”?
